Ameriflight Set for Growth with Appointment of New CEO

DALLAS, TX – Ameriflight, the nation’s largest Part 135 Cargo airline, announces that its board has appointed Paul Chase as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer.
“The board and I are confident that Paul is the right person to build on Ameriflight’s momentum,” Sandy Smith said. “He is a seasoned leader with significant experience working in airlines, delivering value to both customers and employees, and operating efficiently while planning for the future. We are lucky to have him as our next CEO.”
A proven leader, Paul joins Ameriflight as a results-oriented executive known for successfully managing airline operations with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. He’s highly regarded for delivering best in class aircraft reliability, on-time performance, and customer experience. Paul’s extensive background and successes leading a variety of departments brought him to the attention of Ameriflight.

The selection of Paul is directly coordinated with Ameriflight’s strategy to bring a focused and streamlined mindset to its leadership. In addition to Paul, Sandy Smith has been named Co-Chairman of the Board, Will Folger has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, and Sheri Larkin has been designated as Corporate Controller.
Since its founding in 1968, the company has had a handful of capable leaders at its helm who have delivered many successes. Ameriflight’s board has no doubt Paul along with Will and Sheri, will add to these.
About Paul Chase: Paul has an extensive background in aviation that includes a unique blend of airline operations, logistics experience, and business management. Most recently, Paul served Amazon as their Senior Manager of Aviation Operations. Notably, he was a key leader in Amazon Air’s launch team and created Amazon’s first-ever aviation operations department supporting air carrier management, network development, technical operations, and aircraft acquisition strategy. Before that, he worked at Southern Air for nearly 10 years where he held leadership positions such as Director, Vice President, and ultimately COO.
